Allie | Severna Park Senior High Class of 2012

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

Last fall I had the chance to photograph this wonderful young girl – Allie.  She is a friend of one of my senior models and I was thrilled to get to work with her.  Laura, who referred her, told me Allie has about a million facial expressions, and can even “smize” – which apparently means smiling with your eyes!  (These girls keep me fresh with the new lingo.)

Here’s Allie!

Emily | Rockbridge Academy Class of 2012 | Annapolis Senior Photographer

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

It has been a whirlwind of holiday photos up in this place!  Whew!  I LOVE the holiday excitement, and the Christmas photos that go along with them, but it can be a bit tiring on these editing fingers!

I’m super excited to take a different direction for a bit with some senior photos of the lovely Emily!  Emily is one of my models for Rockbridge Academy.  She is a beautiful girl, and her heart is equally as beautiful, too.  We had never met in person before her photo session, but she was so sweet & funny & welcoming that I felt like I was with an old friend – an old friend who is much younger than me, but you get my point.

Enjoy Emily’s photos in Downtown Annapolis.  Oh, and Emily’s mom, who helped picked out most of her outfits – yeah, I’m calling YOU the next time I need to dress myself!

Cassie | Class of 2012 | Broadneck Senior High Photographer

Sunday, September 11th, 2011

Cassie is the 2nd of my senior models this year, so I made her work really hard during her session last weekend.   We had several outfit changes, and even a full ballet get up!  After several hours of walking back & forth in Downtown Annapolis, we got so many wonderful shots.  I can’t even share them all with you here!

Enjoy Cassie, another amazing & talented senior at Broadneck…

Be radically different | Class of 2012 Modeling Call | Anne Arundel County Senior Portrait Photographer

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Attention Class of 2012!  You know who you are.  You’re just about to finish up your junior year of high school.  One more year til’ college or wherever life takes you.  You’re making decisions about your future.  Then make a great decision and have your senior portraits reflect YOU!

I had the traditional black drape photograph when I graduated way back when.  But nowadays, the options are much more endless.  You have the choice to let your senior portraits reflect YOU and YOUR INTERESTS!

I’m currently looking for upcoming seniors, class of 2012, to be my area models.  I am looking for one guy & one girl from area high schools to represent my business to their friends.  Are you outgoing?  Are you ready for radically different senior portraits?  Are you willing & able to show off your awesomely unique photos with your friends?  If so, shoot me an email and let me know.  I’m looking for models in the following area schools:  Broadneck, Severna Park, Annapolis Area Christian School, Archbishop Spalding High School, and Rockbridge Academy.  If you’re school isn’t on this list, contact me anyway and I’ll see what we can set up.

What’s the catch?  Nothing.  I just need models, and you need photographs.  With your parent’s permission, we’ll have a regular senior session with up to 3 outfit changes.  What does it cost you?  Nothing!  Sessions for Senior Models cost them absolutely nothing.  And you even get wallet-sized model cards to share with your friends.  All I ask is that you come ready to work it, show your personality, and tell all your friends about me!  See ya soon!  (mandysroka@gmail.com)

Jake | BHS Class of 2011 | Annapolis Senior Photographer

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

I’ll be the first to admit over & over again & don’t have much photography experience with the male species – babies, kids, teens, adults, whatever.  Maybe it’s not in their nature to get their photos taken as much as females – I don’t know.  But I do know that I was stoked that Jake’s mom made him get his senior photos done with me last weekend.

I’ve known Jake for quite a number of years & it’s been a joy to watch him grow in to the man he is now.  He’ll be leaving us for the great state of Texas after he graduates, but I hope he’ll keep in touch.  And Jake, if you do keep in touch, maybe one day my daughters will actually speak to you.

Here’s Jake….
