OBX Family Session | Outer Banks Family Photographer

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

As you may have seen, my family just returned from our annual vacation in Corolla, NC.  My mother in law really wanted us to get together on the beach for a family session – all 13 of us!  Here is what we came up with.  And many thanks to my brother in law, Matt, & his wife, Emily for snapping photos of me too!

I recently came across this website for the Paperie Boutique and was AMAZED!  Robyn has so many awesome ideas and resources for packaging your products for your clients.  I literally sat and went through one year of blog posts & links and could not get over all the wonderful ideas out there.  Thanks Robyn for putting it all together!

2010: Image 129 – A glamorous evening

Here’s how most of my stellar & uber glamorous evenings are spent…..

Yup, you guessed it….editing.  It’s the ultra fab life of a photographer.  The behind-the-scenes never-before-seen footage.  And it rocks!

2010: Image 118 – After the storm

I wanted to capture the great clouds after our most recent summer thunderstorm.  Our neighborhood is quite tree-filled, but this is what I got.  Still working on metering for different things.  Is it even possible to meter for the trees & still get the rolling clouds?  Maybe, but I’m not that skilled yet.

Mark & Lindsey: Down the Aisle

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Have you ever been to a wedding of two really unique & creative people wondering if it will be as equally unique & creative as they are?  Well, I just did!  Mark & Lindsey are two just really neat-o kids & their wedding was just as awesome as they are!  When the three of us met to talk about what kinds of things they wanted from me for their wedding photos, Lindsey had a ton of really great ideas.  She asked me if I was bothered by that, and I said, “No way!”  I L-O-V-E it when brides & grooms, couples, parents, whomever has an idea of what they like.  It helps me to get to know their personality a little better & in turn, to give them some memories & photos they will hopefully cherish.

Lindsey & Mark had their wedding & reception at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore.  What a great venue!  Who needs to decorate when you have a hot air balloon, giant pink poodles, a car covered in blue soda bottles, and tons of other things all around you?!?!?!  There was so much to entertain your imagination it was unreal!

Beverly & I totally loved your wedding day, Mark & Lindsey!  Thanks for inviting us & enjoy your preview…
