Little Jimmy | Broadneck Park | Arnold Child Photographer

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

Um, do you remember these two love birds back about a year ago?  Brian & Laura?  Well, they have an 8-month old nephew, Jimmy.  Melt. My. Heart.  He is the most adorable little guy I have met lately.  He’s so amiable even when we met for the first time.  He was all smiles & babbling & expressions like you wouldn’t believe!

His parents brought him down to Broadneck Park for a mini session this morning & I’m so glad they did!  He’s moving soon, so this will be the last I see of him for a while.  Don’t grow up too much, little Jimmy!

Enjoy his preview…

I think this was his face after a daddy long-leg spider just crossed the blanket.  Mom & Dad told me he wasn’t a fan of bugs!

Apparently if you put a baby boy in a “cage” he will eat his way to freedom!  Or he’s just teething…

I will admit, when these cuties’ momma asked me if I had access to a live bunny, I was a little surprised.  A bunny?  Well, their mom had a vision in mind for their photographs & I loved it!  I put the word out on Facebook & my dear friend Laura said she had a great bunny to offer.  Laura even came to the park, brought Belle, & stayed to make sure she was alright with the girls.  Initially, Amelia did NOT want to be near the bunny.  She wouldn’t admit it, but I think Belle scared her a little bit.  Once her mommy walked away a bit, Amelia was right at home with Belle.

By the way, mom’s who are professional photographers with an office at home, do NOT edit photos of a cute bunny in front of your kids.  They will want that bunny, whine for that bunny, & beg for that bunny until you set up a bunny play date!

Bolig Family | Stevensville Family Photographer

Last Saturday I got the  chance to meet with Pam Bolig & her sweet family on the Eastern Shore.  Pam and I had been communicating back & forth about having a session at a sweet park with awesome morning lighting near her home.  When we arrived there were about 4 deer with their heads peeking above the tall grass at the park.  I think we were in their territory because about half way through the session they returned with a buck – like they brought their “man” to shoo us off!

Despite the deer, & the thought of all kinds of critters in the tall grasses, we had a wonderful time!  Emma was such an angel & lasted very long for such a young model.  Thanks John, Pam & Emma for having me over.  Enjoy your photos!

Moses + Kim (and Chloe, too)

Monday, June 8th, 2009

Yesterday I was invited by Moses, Kim, and their little Dachshund, Chloe, to photograph some engagement poses at Sherwood Gardens in Baltimore.  I have never been to Sherwood Gardens prior to this, but you can bet I’m gonna recommend it to others.  It’s a beautiful piece of land surrounded on all four sides by large, historic homes.  And the flowers…ooo la la!  They are particularly know for their tulips in early Spring.

Moses & Kim have been engaged for a little over a year and are planning on tying the knot this November.  When I spoke with Kim about where she wanted to go, she asked if I’d mind if she brought her dog, Chloe.  I said, “Sure, why not!  She’s part of your family, too.”  Besides being madly in love with one another, Kim & Moses love Chloe as well.  The shots of them playing with their little gal are just precious.  And all those shots where you don’t see Chloe, rest assured, she is very close by looking at us with her sad doggie eyes, sending telepathic messages that she wants to be included too!

Here are Moses, Kim, and Chloe the Dachshund….enjoy!
