2010: Image 45 – Happy Valentine’s Day!

Monday, February 15th, 2010

And here’s the last of my late weekend posts….

Happy Valentine’s Day!  I hope you had a great day with your honey.  Josh & I were given the wonderful opportunity for our girls to have an overnight trip with Aunt Emily & Uncle Matt while Josh & I pretended to be childless!  We love our girls, but we are rarely (if ever) without them.  And I don’t know about you, but firmly believe a happy, healthy marriage is essential to have a happy, healthy family.  So, thank you Matt & Emily for caring for our darlings while we took a leisurely dinner & a late movie.  We feel so relaxed!

The cookie in this photo was the last of four that our neighbors brought to us.  Aren’t the sweet?  They brought one for each of us – which is good for my portion control issues – and this last one left was mine.  Don’t worry, it’s gone now.

How did you celebrate Valentine’s day?

monopoly-1

Yes, I’m admitting it.  And maybe I should join Sore Losers Anonymous.  I am a sore L-O-S-E-R!  There, it’s said, it’s done, I’m cured!  I wish!  Although the reason I’m shooting this picture & not in it is because I was the first one out, I truly did enjoy our time with family and friends today.   Josh’s brother, Matt, & his beautiful bride, Emily, put on their long johns & snow clothes & walked to our house today to renovate the igloo, have dinner & play some games with us.  Unfortunately for me, we chose Monopoly.  Which, I think is mostly luck, but that’s just my opinion.  I mean come on, two times around the board & I wasn’t able to buy a single property!  Who has that bad of luck?!?!?  Okay, sore loserness is done…I’m over it….. *sigh*  So we enjoyed Matt & Emily’s company and were also treated with our neighbors Mary & Chris coming over AND bringing red velvet dinosaur cake!  We are so blessed!  For being in what seems like a perpetual blizzard, I feel very lucky to have all this family time with our little family, as well as with our friends & family who live so close by to make the snow seem a little less chilling.  Thanks guys!

I’m beat….g’night!

The Smith’s

smithfamilyweb-8I recently tool my brother & sister-in-law, along with their two little ones, to Downtown Annapolis for their family photo session. As soon as we arrived, it began to drizzle! Ahhh! But, they made the most of the situation as I commanded them to duck under awnings and run out when the rain let up. Great job you all! Thanks for letting me capture your family.

Matt & Emily are married! About two weeks ago I shot Matt & Emily’s wedding (my very first wedding) with the help of my trusted friend Heather. Their wedding was on the most beautiful, and warm day in March. Matt & Emily were married at Broadneck EP Church and had a wonderful reception at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. Emily was stunning in her timeless wedding dress! Welcome to the family, Emily! And, Matt, you chose well…she is a gem!
