Jacqui & Kevin: Waiting for Baby | Quiet Waters | Annapolis Maternity Photographer

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

I can’t even remember the circumstances under which I met Jacqui.  I vaguely think my mom was her teacher, or something?  Anyway, we know each other now, and that’s what matters.  When I heard that Jacqui & Kevin were going to be parents, I was so excited.  When they asked me to photograph this important moment in their lives, I was over the moon!

Hanging out with these two at Quiet Waters park was awesome.  We couldn’t have asked for a better day, a better location, and they have some of the most new parent-to-be lovieness that I’ve seen.   They didn’t need much direction from me to snuggle, laugh, embrace, kiss, & just love one another – because those things just seemed to flow naturally.

And it brings a little tear to my eye every time I see a dad-to-be like Kevin.  So in love with his girl, and so in love with the little girl waiting to be born.  I can’t wait to meet her, you two!  Enjoy your preview!

Waiting for baby… | Melinda & Gary | Annapolis Maternity Photographer

Saturday, May 14th, 2011

I met Melinda & Gary downtown last week for their maternity session.  It almost didn’t happen, though.  Melinda called me a few hours before our meeting time letting me know that she was having contractions…again.  You would never know that this beautiful momma was having contractions during our session.  She was beaming with mother-to-be beauty.  And daddy was equally as proud.  His care for his wife & their unborn son was so evident in their glances & embraces.  I cannot wait til little Peyton arrives.  And thanks, Melinda & Gary, for sticking with me, and enjoy your photos!

Sarah & Mike – Maternity Session

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Meet Sarah & Mike.  They are soon going to be parents to little Ella.  I got the chance to meet them this weekend up at their beautiful home in Baltimore and take some pictures of Sarah’s beautiful baby belly.  It’s not fair that hers looks so much better than mine did!  I won’t hold it against her though – maybe she used the cocoa butter more often than I did!

Well, little Ella is in for some awesome parents.  They already have her room ready.  And her daddy has already bought her a pair of pink John Deere boots!  They are gonna be a fun couple of parents – I can just tell.  And I think their bulldogs will make great “siblings” as well!

Here are a few sneak peeks of their session…

Thanks for having me and I can’t wait to meet little Ella in July!

A New Album!

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

You may remember Justin & Sam from my “Bare Bellies” party a few months ago.  After they’d looked at all their photos, they decided they’d like to have an album to represent Sam’s pregnancy with baby Jackson.  Well, I finally got around to designing it, ordering it, and just mailed it off to Justin & Sam.  I thought you might like to see what it looks like as well.  Albums are a great way of getting the majority of your images at a more cost-effective price.  Although each image isn’t as large as a print may be, they are displayed beautifully in this keepsake book.  And for people like me who wish they could scrapbook, but never get around to it, it’s a single place to hold all the images from a certain event or time-period (aka: the lazy man’s scrapbook).

For Justin & Sam’s album I decided to go with my old favorite, White House Custom Colour (WHCC).  They are fabulous and have always been good to me in the past and I would recommend them to any professional photographer.  Sam chose the 8×8-inch album with a fabric cover in tan.  It has 20 spreads, or 10 pages front & back, and the pages are the “magazine style,” meaning they don’t lay flat.    And as I do with each album, I let Sam & Justin have as much input as they wanted.  Sam told me some photos that she did not want, and ones she couldn’t live with out.  After I designed the book,  I sent Sam & Justin a preview via Facebook, and they approved it.  It’s that easy.  Here are some pictures to better explain myself.
