If y’all can’t tell who Hailey belongs to, then take a look back at her parents here.  She is totally & utterly BOTH Kevin & Jacqui!  This child looks like both of them so much it is uncanny!

Hailey came right after Thanksgiving, much to her momma’s delight!  She was a big girl, but still a little princess.  Thanks so much for letting me cuddle her, shush her & even change her!  Those are the baby things that never get old to this mother’s heart.

I so wanted this blanket!  Friend’s of Kevin’s parents who live overseas made it for Jacqui’s baby shower.  She & I both agree we need an adult-sized one, ASAP!

I have to share about this shot.  I got Hailey all warm & cozy, laid her on her tummy facing me with her little tushy in the air, and she turned away from me!  I had wrap myself around a crib to get this.  I think that’s why she’s smiling/laughing at me here…little stinker!

I can’t even remember the circumstances under which I met Jacqui.  I vaguely think my mom was her teacher, or something?  Anyway, we know each other now, and that’s what matters.  When I heard that Jacqui & Kevin were going to be parents, I was so excited.  When they asked me to photograph this important moment in their lives, I was over the moon!

Hanging out with these two at Quiet Waters park was awesome.  We couldn’t have asked for a better day, a better location, and they have some of the most new parent-to-be lovieness that I’ve seen.   They didn’t need much direction from me to snuggle, laugh, embrace, kiss, & just love one another – because those things just seemed to flow naturally.

And it brings a little tear to my eye every time I see a dad-to-be like Kevin.  So in love with his girl, and so in love with the little girl waiting to be born.  I can’t wait to meet her, you two!  Enjoy your preview!

This little peanut is Madilyn.  She was born during the same week as Megan.  You actually met her several weeks ago here, but she just hadn’t made her appearance yet then.

Well here she is, in all her sweetness…

Ahhh….newborn babes!  Aren’t they grand?  Thank you to all the newborn parents who’ve hired me over the years.  It’s thanks to you that I’ve been able to play with new babies, get my baby fix, and then hand them back.  Otherwise I might have actually had to give birth to a third child to get my baby fix, and my husband might not be too happy about that!

Ella came in to this world about 3 weeks ago with a glorious head of hair!  Her mommy & I joked about how funny it is that even babies so young already have defined personalities.  I personally thought Ella was an angel!  She was awake for a while when I first started shooting, and then as she settled in to my bean bag she began to snooze – or at least try to!  We kept popping her pacifier in and out for shots & she handled it with much grace & little fussing.  Sorry about that Ella!  I promise I won’t be back to torture you again until you’ve forgiven me!
