So, um….can you believe my little munchkin is three???  I mean, yes, it happened back in July, but it’s not official until Mommy does the annual photos.  *sniff sniff*  Brooke is so big!  Not literally big, because she can still wear a size 2T, but so grown up!  I mean the kid can sing the theme song to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!  That’s grown!

Since Emma has been in school & leaving us ALL DAY, Brooke & I went to scout a new favorite location of mine.  At least that’s what I told her – Mommy needed her help.  I was secretly hoping to get her annual photos in too.  We chased butterflies, picked flowers, and climbed in little trees and here is what we got…

I am entering the I {heart} faces photo challenge again this week.  The theme is “Got to wear shades.”  When I saw this week’s theme, I immediately thought of the photo below of Brooke.  The girl has about 10 pairs of sunglasses!  She refuses to leave the house during daylight hours without shades covering her delicate baby blues – “It’s too sunny, Mommy!”  This shot was taken on our vacation & it’s so Brooke.  Enjoy & don’t forget to go enter yourself!

Yeah, I am that mom who just photographed her kid on the potty in a bathroom.  If that’s what it takes to get her to go then I am happy to oblige!  Brooke is on her way (slowly) to becoming potty trained.  I don’t know what I’ll do once we are out of diapers.  Maybe I’ll put ‘em on my puppy who thinks she is no longer potty trained!  Let’s hope this potty training train keeps on movin’ down the tracks!

Our family vacation this year happened to fall during Brooke’s 3rd birthday so we had a small party for her here in North Carolina.  Here is our little celebration…
