2010: Image 179 – Ni Hao!

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Recently we got a little panda costume for small dogs.  The girls wanted to try it out on Ruby, so we decided to make it a Chinese-themed picture day.  Emma & Brooke put on their headbands that our friend Bethany got them in China & we made Ruby pose.  She was amazingly still once we put the panda costume on her.  She was probably freaking out.

2010: Image 177 – Gimme a “W!”

Yes, I was at one point in my life a cheerleader.  Although, it was only for the kindergarten Halloween parade.  My mommy made me this outfit with her own two hands.  The W stands for Weatherford – the land of my birth.  I’ll have to dig up that photo so you can awww at my pig-tailed cuteness.

We met this little guy today.  One of our neighbors is puppy-sitting Vinny until he gets to his new owners.  He is a cutie with some awesome blue eyes….and some nippy puppy teeth!  I guess Josh tasted pretty good.

2010: Image 174 – Creating Motion

Friday, July 30th, 2010

So, this photo is probably my “interesting” to date.  I was lacking inspiration for today’s 365 picture and almost forgot about it until I started reading Understanding Exposure before bed.   I’ve been going slowly through this book and the chapter on “Implying Motion” caught my attention.  When the 4th of July rolled around I wanted to try one of those cool, trendy sparkler-spells-a-word pictures, but never got to it.  Our sparklers were duds!  So tonight I picked up Josh’s iPhone & it has a cool app that makes the flash a flashlight.  And this is what I came up with!

It’s good to challenge yourself, right?
