2010: Images 193 – 195 | Puddles, Mini’s & Piggies

I’ve been a tad remiss about posting my 365 daily for the last three days. I’ve been neglectful, and I apologize. BUT, I do have photos! I took them on their date, but just didn’t get them posted. So here they are…

Image 193 – Puddles

It rained, we were bored, and they asked…what more can I say? If you’re my friend on Facebook, you can see more in this puddle series.

Image 194 – Mini, as in “mini-session”

Crazy girls! They were so much fun during our mini session yesterday. They laughed, made faces, did toe-touches, and jumped super duper high! And I used to teach Sara in kindergarten! I can’t believe she’ll be entering fourth grade this year! So glad we got to reconnect.

Image 195 – Piggies

These piggies belong to my niece, Leah. We had a mini session today with her at a beach & apparently her tootsies are too good to be dirtied by sand. La di da! The only way I could get her near it was to put a stick down for her so she didn’t have to sully her precious feet.

2010: Image 192 | Boordy Vineyards

As I was leaving a session this morning I drove past a sign that read, “Boordy Vineyards.” BAM! It just hit me that I’m supposed to be running a 5K there THIS SUNDAY!!! Ahhh! *breathe* Well, since I won’t have much time to stop & see the sights on Sunday, I took a quick break today to get a few snapshots of the vines. So beautiful. I’ve never been to a vineyard before but it makes a beautiful back drop for photos (*hint hint all you people looking for places for your photos).

Yeah, I am that mom who just photographed her kid on the potty in a bathroom. If that’s what it takes to get her to go then I am happy to oblige! Brooke is on her way (slowly) to becoming potty trained. I don’t know what I’ll do once we are out of diapers. Maybe I’ll put ‘em on my puppy who thinks she is no longer potty trained! Let’s hope this potty training train keeps on movin’ down the tracks!

2010: Image 189 – Sun flare & back lighting

On Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph for a budding photographer & her family. Pam & I connected through our mutual friend Megan with the DragonFly Dance Experiment – remember that session? She had me over to the Eastern Shore of Maryland for a morning session. If you know me, you know rising early is not one of my stronger qualities. But I did it, and am so thankful that I did. Pam challenged me to stretch my capabilities & try shooting with back lighting. I think I did okay for my first try. Anyone else wanna make me get up early & photograph them? I may just do it again, if I like ya enough. Thanks Pam, John & little Emma. It was a pleasure to meet you all & thank you for showing me your great park!

2010: Image 186 – The all girl streak is broken!

This little guy, Kyle, just broke the all girl streak in our neighborhood. We currently have 8 girls in our little section of the neighborhood & no boys in sight. Well, now, thanks to Kyle, we can possibly procreate & have the hope of male heir! (I’ve been watching too much of The Tudors!) Not that this momma is planning on procreating, but if others are, there is hope!
