Another year, and my sweet niece Mackinzie is another year older.  I took a look back when I photographed her four-year-old photos, and I just cannot believe how much she’s grown!  *sigh*  Take a look at how much she’s changed!

Madi, you may remember, is the daughter of my dear, dear friend Stephanie.  We’ve known each other since our teenage years, and have managed to keep in touch & in one another’s lives.  Miracle.  I’m so glad to see her fall in love, get married, fall more in love, and welcome Madi in to her & Brad’s lives.  And it’s so hard to believe over a year has flown by & Madilyn is one!

Steph really wanted a session with Madi when she was walking, so we waited…and waited….and waited.  Finally, at about 15 months she began walking!  So we headed out to Historic Ellicott City & Steph made one of her amazing cakes.  Brad got balloons.  I borrowed a table & chair.  We made some memories.

Um, do you remember these two love birds back about a year ago?  Brian & Laura?  Well, they have an 8-month old nephew, Jimmy.  Melt. My. Heart.  He is the most adorable little guy I have met lately.  He’s so amiable even when we met for the first time.  He was all smiles & babbling & expressions like you wouldn’t believe!

His parents brought him down to Broadneck Park for a mini session this morning & I’m so glad they did!  He’s moving soon, so this will be the last I see of him for a while.  Don’t grow up too much, little Jimmy!

I think this was his face after a daddy long-leg spider just crossed the blanket.  Mom & Dad told me he wasn’t a fan of bugs!

Apparently if you put a baby boy in a “cage” he will eat his way to freedom!  Or he’s just teething…

My baby is officially four year old!  Hard to believe!  I asked her where she’d like to take her four-year-old pictures &, of course, she does what she always does – turns to her big sister & says, “What do you fink, Emma?”  Emma is in love with Downtown Annapolis so that was her one & only recommendation – and Brooke agreed!

I took her downtown one morning while Emma was in VBS – just her & me & a bag of outfits.  It’s convenient when you’re so little & it’s still acceptable to switch outfits in the middle of a public street.  Now that my girls are bigger, I let them take charge of their sessions.  It makes things go much smoother.  They pick the locations, they own the time.  I find I get a lot less arguments that way!

Ahh, I just get so excited when it’s time to photograph Clara!  I cannot believe I met her at two weeks old.  And here we are at 2 years old already…time does fly too fast.

Clara & her parents met me at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis over the weekend.  It was a pretty sticky, hot day, but we made the best of it.  All the time we kept Clara going by promising her a look at the turtles in the Quiet Waters pond.  When we finally came through on our promise, she was thrilled!
