Tomorrow marks the end of Emma’s first full week of kindergarten…and then she has like 2 days off next week, another the following week, and so on.  So, to celebrate we baked chocolate chip cookies this afternoon.  (Sorry, Nanny, they weren’t homemade!)  We also thought it’d be a cool thing to reward Emma’s teacher for her first week too.  The girls picked out paper & we made this origami box from a tutorial I found a while back.  (You can see it here)  It took all of 10 minutes, slap a tag on it, write thanks on the back, and voila!  *Please note, we aren’t vying for class pet.  I simply remember what the first week of teaching kindergarten was like – this girl deserves these cookies!
