2010: Image 140 – iPhone 4

Yes, my husband pre-0rdered the iPhone 4 way back when & it arrived while we were away.  He is in love.  And I know there’s a lot of haters out there (and even some we know) who say to wait, it’s buggy, it loses service when you hold it a certain way.  Keep on hatin’.  Josh doesn’t care.  He’s an iPhone programmer & has to have the latest, plus he WANTS the latest.  Here it is side by side with his soon to be sold iPhone 3Gs.  Bye bye!

When I got back from Victory Jam on Friday, these little pretties were waiting for me.  Thanks to my neighbors for getting our mail & many packages that arrived while we were away!    You all are priceless!

I really like the boxes that my proofs come in, but I’m searching for ways to dress them up a little.  This site has been giving me some inspiration.

Each year Josh serves the youth in our church by running the sound, video, skits, music, etc at a camp called Victory Jam.  It’s held at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference in Harvey Cedars, New Jersey.  This is Josh’s 11th year, and my 6th.  I am amazed every year at what he can accomplish.  To give you a hint, here are the must have items on Josh’s packing list:  case of water, 12 t-shirts (2 per day), 2 video cameras, 2 iMac computers, iPhone, sound board, projector, 4 speakers, 20 DVD cases & blank DVDs, Skittles, and a constant flow of 5-hour energy drinks.  He works like a mad man & I love him for it.  And he graciously takes the girls & I along even though I’m no longer able to help.

Here are just a few photos of our week there.  I’ll be posting more on my Facebook page later.

Josh and I quickly made friends with a young couple who joined our church several years ago.  Evan & Kristena were just the kind of fun, young, and genuine friends we were hoping for & when they arrived we were so excited.  And, as equally as excited as we were to know them, we were just as saddened as when they moved to Oklahoma.

I have been able to keep up with Kristena little by little on Facebook and on her blog, Thimbly Things.  Kristena is amazingly talented in creating masterpieces out of what others might consider useless or junk.  I asked her if she would be able to create a non-traditional family tree for me to give to my dad & his new wife for their wedding.  Well, I’m happy to say it has arrived!  I am so excited to share more of it with you a little later, but for now, here is a quick shot of the lower half.  Thank you so much Kristena…I LOVE it!

Oh, and for those of you on Etsy, go check out Kristena’s store.  There’s even more amazing treasures in there!

I took the dog out for a potty break and caught this guy hanging out on my neighbor’s lovely flowers.  I ran back in, grabbed my camera, and got three shots of it before it fluttered away!  Thanks Mr. Butterfly…
