2010: Image 144 – Eclipse

Yeah, you are seeing this right.  I waited in line starting at 10:30pm for at 12:01am movie with 2400 Twilight fans.  I did not have a Team Jacob or Team Edward shirt.  I did not have a werewolf paw painted on my face.  I did not get in line at 8pm like my neighbors sitting to my left and to my right.  But I did enjoy this movie immensely.  I did stay awake for every chair-gripping moment.  And I did get a tummy ache from eating too much candy…ugh!

2010: Image 143 – She’s an artist, right?

Tell me Brooke is a creative genius and this is why she writes on her face with pen?  And that is why she scribbles a line (in pen) on all the chair cushions and runs away screaming, “It’s a snake!”  She’s a genius, right?

2010: Image 142 – A different perspective?

As this 365 Project continues, I admittedly lose inspiration for what to photograph.  I mean, it has to be revolutionary, right?  It has to keep you coming back, right?  Well, on Monday I challenged myself to look at things from a new perspective.  So, after my run, I stank pretty badly & took a bath after I put the kids to bed.  As I stared up I saw these two legs leaning out of my daughters’ bath toy basket touching the bath wall.  It just struck me as funny, as if Barbie, or Belle, or whoever she was, was just hanging out in the bath toy basket, relaxing, touching her legs to the wall.  Weird, right?  Well, it is a new perspective.  Maybe the fact that I saw Toy Story 3 has me thinking that toys have secret lives when they think we aren’t looking.  Or I could have been delirious and dehydrated from my run.

Today Josh took me to meet his partner in crime, Oscar, who runs Renegade Apps with him.  Together they design, create, & sell iPhone & iPad apps.  And Josh has loved every minute of it.  When we visited Oscar today, Josh helped him set up a studio in his home for some upcoming podcasts that he’ll be creating.  I got to tag along and listen to all the man-talk.  Here’s a mic from the studio that I thought looked kinda cool.  Can’t wait to see what you come up with Oscar!

The Schuetter Family | Annapolis, Maryland | Portrait Photographer

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

I got the chance to photograph this wonderful family last week in the middle of what seems like a never-ending heat wave!  They were so gracious & flexible & the kids just kept on smiling!  Thank you Schuetter family for sweating with me!  You all were so much fun.  Enjoy your sneak peek….
