2010: Image 79 – Springtime

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

My girls & I went for a little walk around the neighborhood to see what flowers we could spy.  They really wanted a photo of this tree because it makes “pink snow” – you know, all the little pink petals that fall, and I’m sure have some of you sneezing a LOT these days.  They thought it was so pretty.  Then we talked about if we were a bird, which branch would we want to live on.  It was fun!  I’ll be putting some more springtime shots on my Facebook fan page – with NO LOGO – so you can grab them if you like.  Remember, those are low-res, so if you want high-res ones, just shoot me an e-mail.  I’m happy to share!

2010: Image 78 – Olivia

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Yesterday I got to meet this little darling – Olivia.  I couldn’t help but sing the Olivia theme song when I met her, it’s just so catchy.  (You know, the cartoon & children’s books with the cute little piggy named Olivia???  Google it.)

Well, this was one tiny sleepy moment we got out of her.  I was excited to be able to try out my new blanket from Ikea.  I just loved the texture when I saw it in the store & it screamed “BABY” to me immediately.  It’s super huge, but stretchy and comfy.  I think it worked well!  More of Olivia to come later

2010: Image 77 – Nice shades!

Here is my big girl.  Notice the accessories: headband, sunglasses, “pearls.”  She is becoming quite fashion-conscious in her daily clothing choices.  In this photo, she’s sitting on my neighbor’s rock, examining the smaller rocks, playing some imaginative game.  I just loved the look on her face.

New Product: Vintage Alphabet Baby Announcements

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

I am just so super excited to show off these baby card templates I bought!  Technically, they are baby announcements, but I feel they could work for any type of baby-themed card: baby shower, baby welcome home party, birth announcement, 1st birthday, etc.

I purchased these templates from Beyond Red & Green (BRAG).  I can’t even remember how I found this awesome site, probably through Twitter, but I have it bookmarked so I can go back OFTEN to see what new stuff she has to offer.  She was having an awesome sale yesterday, and I HAD to take advantage of it!  After much deliberation, I chose the “Vintage Alphabet” templates.  I will more than likely go back & get more in the future.  The cards pictured here are 4.5 inches x 5 inches flat.  They are also available in the same size folded, as well as 5×7 folded – and of course, envelopes are always included!

With all the babies I’ve been blessed to meet lately, I thought I’d give them a try.   So, here are “Vintage Alphabet” cards featuring Clara, Deacon, Jackson, Douglas, & Paul!

The colors are completely customizable as well.  And it’s totally possible to add an animal to two for those of you who’ve welcomed multiple new ones in to your lives…

2010: Image 76 – Pasta, it’s what’s for dinner!

Friday, April 16th, 2010

Well, this is part of what I made for dinner.  Pasta, turkey Kielbasa, & marinara sauce (or spaghetti sauce as us plain folk say).  I thought the noodles just looked kinda neat all twisty.  Sure was difficult cooking dinner when I couldn’t eat it until after my C25K run!
